Introduction

Choosing the right adhesive is just as important as choosing the face stock. As a factory, we coat both Hot Melt (Rubber-based) and Water Based (Acrylic) adhesives, each with distinct chemical properties.

Hot Melt is known for its high "Initial Tack" and ability to flow into rough surfaces (ideal for boxes/tires). Water Based Acrylic is known for its clarity, UV resistance, and chemical stability (ideal for films/outdoor). We help you select the correct chemistry to ensure your label stays stuck under your specific environmental conditions.

  • Hot Melt Advantage: "Quick Stick." It grabs onto surfaces immediately, even if they are slightly dusty or moist (condensation). Lower cost.
  • Water Based Advantage: "Durability." It withstands heat and sunlight better. It does not bleed (ooze) as much during die-cutting, allowing for faster converting speeds.

    Material Structure

    Chemistry matters:

    1. Hot Melt: A solid 100% solid adhesive melted and coated. Creates a thick, soft layer.
    2. Water Based: 50% solid / 50% water emulsion dried in ovens. Creates a thin, cross-linked layer.
